General Class Information
Please note that it is strongly suggested that new students enrolled in Beginning Ceramics attend their first day of class. Classes missed may be made-up if time and instruction is available, but there is no guarantee and class tuition is non-refundable. If you will not be able to make your scheduled classes and need a refund or credit toward a future class, you must give 7 days notice before the class you enrolled in begins. Once the first day of a class begins, refunds will not be issued.
At times, ceramics classes can be physically demanding and some semi-sharp tools are used. Students should be able to move about comfortably and lift 25 pounds of clay. If you have any physical limitations or questions, please speak with staff before signing up for a class.
In your first day of class you will have a tour of the studio and an orientation where many studio procedures will discussed. Instructors will be happy to address any questions or concerns at that time.
Tuition covers classes, open studio time, glazing and firing of works made at the studio by the enrolled student. Pieces made at home are not permitted. Works made by non-students are not permitted. Outside firing fees are not an option for Classes. Children 16 and under are not permitted. Please do not bring your child or a guest to class or Open Studio without advanced permission from Staff. Your class enrollment is not transferable to another person. Ordinarily, one can not join a class once it has begun.
